My Collections

There are 3 things that I’m really into (in order of most favorite to least favorite): Naruto, Minecraft, and Star Wars. I also REALLY like collecting those kind of things. Here are pictures of my collections.

torch

A REALLY COOL torch that has a back part that folds down and has 2 holes in it so you can hang it up on the wall to instantlly add a nice Minecrafty touch to your bedroom.

rey

A Rey doll with a backpack, staff, and (not shown because I didn’t realize it fell) a wristband. (Thanks, Nana!❤️)

Book Review: The Vacation

For my book club, I read a book by Polly Horvath called The Vacation. It’s about a boy named Henry who’s mother decides to become a Mormon missionary (please note that she is not Mormon) in Africa and drags Henry’s father along with her. Henry is left in the care of his aunts Pigg and Mag who decide to go on a vacation. Where to? Nowhere in particular. The whole book is just them driving random places in USA with no particular goal. There is no plot point in the book, or a conclusion. Just when I thought the book could only get better, it went straight PAST the bedrock, and straight into the Nether. They said some pretty mean things to each other and it just kept getting worse, plus the author (this had nothing to do with anything and was just meant as an insult) made Henry say that the people smiling had a strange look, but not like “frightening gleam like those born-again Christians have…”  To show you how bad this book is, my favorite sentence (not chapter, not topic, not even PARAGRAPH), “Never, ever give an animal a human name.” It was in the chapter Cat-Squishing Day, in which they run over a cat named Benny, and Henry’s father thought he ran over someone’s kid when the owner of the cat came running out screaming, “YOU’VE RUN OVER BENNY!” The book honestly didn’t even end. It just didn’t. It just stopped. It was like there should have been more of the book, and someone just got a knife and sliced it right out of existence. Overall, I give this book  ⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
